AgileAus19 Reflections

Jul 10, 2019 | AgileAus, Feature Articles

We can hardly believe AgileAus has wrapped for another year! We can’t thank the speakers, sponsors and community enough for making AgileAus19 such an unforgettable experience.

Returning to the Hilton Sydney, we enjoyed two jam-packed days of learning, networking and good old-fashioned fun.

Highlights included:

Kicking off AgileAus19 with just the right vibe – the Keynote Welcome Dinner gave the community a chance to connect on the eve of the 11th Annual Conference!

Emma Murray, Richmond FC Mindfulness coach, invited us to tap into our A-game with an emotional and compelling start to the Conference.

Sarah Traynor introduced us to ‘Bruce Lee honesty’, exploring how her experience working in a squad at ANZ has revealed the key ingredients needed for a team to learn and grow continuously.

Pete Young showed us how to measure what matters with an engaging rundown on how AusPost’s cross-functional ‘MyPost’ team has come along in leaps and bounds since its 2015 inception.

Meanwhile, the AgileAus Sketch Crew once again saw a group of  curious students capture gems from the Conference. You can see all their sketches here.

Ali Walker sparkled onto the scene on Day Two,helping us identify our different connection styles and how they impact on the way we live and work.

Anna El Ali and Jody Weir shared how THE ICONIC uses a ‘3C’s framework’ to successfully create culture movements, showing us how this framework can be used within a team or across an entire organisation to help Agile ways of working flourish.

The cherry on the Conference cake was the Atlassian Closing Celebration — bringing together friends old and new to continue the conversation and reflect on two incredible days!

Have AgileAus FOMO?

Agile Encore 2019 will feature a ‘highlights reel’ of some of the Conference’s most raved about talks (including Sarah Traynor and Pete Young). It’ll all take place over one afternoon in Melbourne on 11 September! You can find out more and snap up a ticket here.

Don’t forget to save the date for AgileAus20 — happening in Melbourne on 15-16 June 2020! We can’t wait to see you there 🙂
